We are pleased to welcome you and your child to Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic School. Our school is dedicated to nurturing your child academically, physically and spiritually through our faith-based curriculum and caring Catholic environment.

We look forward to officially welcoming your child when the new school year begins in September.

To assist your family in preparing your child for this exciting new experience, we invite you to join us at our annual Welcome to Kindergarten Parent /Student Orientation Session on:

Date: Thursday, May 14, 2020

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Our Lady of Wisdom CES, gym

This will be a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to familiarize yourselves with your new school and to participate in a variety of fun and engaging learning activities.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is pleased to be working with the Learning Partnership in offering the Welcome to Kindergarten Program in all elementary schools across TCDSB.

The goal of the program is to provide pre-school children with the resources and experiences to begin their formal education with a foundation in literacy nurtured in their home. Your child will receive a variety of early literacy resources in a canvas bag (e.g., magnetic letters and numbers, books, crayons, scissors, glue, paper, play dough and more). Parents will learn strategies for using the resources at home with their child, in order to prepare for the upcoming school year 2018/19.  The orientation sessions are provided by school staff in conjunction with community partners.

We look forward to seeing you and your child at this orientation session.

Sincerely,

 W. Kwon
