On December 1, 2023, students from the choir at Canadian Martyrs Catholic School were selected to perform at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The school’s performance was part of the annual Holiday Concert Series which runs throughout the month of December at the Legislature and aims to highlight choir groups from schools across Ontario.
In attendance for Canadian Martyrs performance were many dignitaries and senior government officials including many MPPs. One of the MPPs who attended the concert was Mary-Margaret McMahon, the MPP for Beaches-East York.
After the concert, MPP McMahon took time from her busy schedule to speak with students and staff who were part of the choir and thank them for spreading the Christmas Spirit to the Legislature.
The senior administration at the school would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the students and staff, especially to teachers Sean Kelly and Jessica O'Malley who were instrumental in ensuring the performance was a success.
