Students from James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School have once again demonstrated their exceptional talents and skills by achieving resounding victories at the TCDSB Skills Canada competition. The annual event, designed to showcase proficiency in various technical fields and skilled trades, witnessed students from the school securing top honors across multiple categories.

In a remarkable display of prowess, James Cardinal McGuigan students dominated the competition, emerging victorious in several key disciplines. The results are as follows:

  1. TV/Video Production: Gloria and Vittorio clinched 1st place for the 5th consecutive year.

  2. 3D Animation: Kelly and Jennifer secured 1st place for the 2nd year in a row.

  3. Graphic Design: Vinnie and Aitanna achieved 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Kelly Gallido and Jennifer Dan's outstanding performance in the 3D Animation category not only earned them the top spot but also solidified the school's reputation as a powerhouse in digital arts, marking the second consecutive year of victory in this discipline.

In the TV/Video Production category, Vittorio Cristini and Gloria Binosh's exceptional work secured first place, extending the school's unbeaten streak in this field since 2019. Their victory further highlights the consistent excellence fostered within James Cardinal McGuigan's film and broadcasting program, which includes the most subscribed and watched YouTube channel for the TCDSB.

Adding to the school's impressive achievements, Vinicius Eitelwein and Aitanna Rian Valencia showcased their prowess in the Graphic Design Presentation competition, securing second and third place, respectively, highlighting the depth of talent nurtured within James Cardinal McGuigan's Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) and S.T.E.A.M education programs.

Mr. Bisceglia, the school's Principal, expressed immense pride in the students' accomplishments, remarking, "Technology and Arts have never been stronger at JCM."
