James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School is proud to celebrate a historic achievement by standout student athlete Divine O., who captured the U20 Women’s Triple Jump title at the 2026 Canadian Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Held at the Toronto Track and Field Centre from February 27 to March 1, 2026, the championship brought together the nation’s best U16, U18, U20, and Senior athletes for one of the premier events on the Canadian track and field calendar. Hosted by Athletics Canada and Athletics Ontario, the competition featured top-ranked athletes from across the country, including Olympians and Paralympians, all vying for national titles.
Against this elite field, Divine delivered a championship performance, showcasing her technical precision, explosive power, and competitive poise. Her gold medal performance in the U20 Women’s Triple Jump further cements her status as one of the most exciting young athletes in the country.
Currently ranked 4th in North America in her age group, Divine’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Her consistency on the runway and in the sand pit has earned her several scholarship offers from schools in the United States, positioning her to continue both her academic and athletic career at the highest level.
A proud product of the JCM Track and Field program, Divine’s development reflects years of dedication and structured high-performance training. Through disciplined coaching, strength and conditioning support, and a culture built on accountability and excellence, she has evolved into a national champion.
