James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Father Redmond Classic, one of the province’s premier track and field meets featuring approximately 15,000 athletes and nearly 2,300 event entries. Competing against some of the top athletes from across Ontario, JCM athletes rose to the occasion and brought home an impressive 25 medals.

In addition to the medal performances, JCM athletes recorded an incredible 49 top-10 finishes throughout the competition.
The team has now earned a remarkable 104 medals during the 2026 season — and counting.
The continued success of the program is a testament to the dedication of the staff and coaches at JCM, as well as the commitment and enthusiasm of the student-athletes. With nearly 100 students participating on the team, the strong turnout reflects the vibrant extracurricular culture and school spirit within the JCM community.
Congratulations to the entire team and to coaches Mr. Gabay, Mr. Panzini, Ms. Dinatale, and Mr. Vescio for their leadership and support.
The team now looks ahead to the Toronto District Catholic Athletic Association (TDCAA) Championships on May 8 and May 13–14, 2026.
