Two photos of Cymphany at the CEC, one of her at the podium, and one with her speaking to a teacher

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) invited all students to participate in writing a speech about a subject that mattered to each individual student. Cymphany S. Y. D., a Grade 8 student from Our Lady of Victory Catholic School, wrote a speech about “Equity for Indigenous Children”. On March 5, Cymphany shared her speech at the Catholic Education Centre (CEC) in front of other schools. Cymphany was awarded second place in the intermediate division. She spoke with passion about equality for Indigenous children. We are very proud of Cymphany. Her classmates along with her teacher and principal cheered her on.
