On June 18, the TCDSB Indigenous Education Department hosted its third annual Haudenosaunee Indigenous Games Day Celebration at St. Aidan Catholic School. The event provided students with a powerful opportunity to engage with the rich cultures and traditions of First Nations Peoples.

Through traditional games—highlighting the sacred origins of Lacrosse—students learned about the deep spiritual and cultural significance these practices hold within Indigenous communities.

The day served as a reminder of the importance of listening, learning, and walking together in the spirit of respect, truth, and reconciliation.
