At St. Basil-the-Great College School, the students of the SBCEvolve club have worked on various projects and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about global gender issues and envisioning an inclusive world—a world rid of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. True to our school motto, we strive for that which is great, and we strive for a world that embraces diversity and equity, where differences are not only accepted but celebrated.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is #INSPIREINCLUSION. The entire SBC community will proudly wear purple bracelets adorned with the hashtag #InspireInclusion, symbolizing their unwavering support for International Women’s Day.

On March 6 (Wednesday), SBCEvolve launched their Rebel Girls Gallery, available for viewing in the school foyer. Members in the club have been inspired by the Rebel Girls series, whose intention is to instill confidence in women and girls. The gallery will display the student’s interpretation of a Rebel Girl in their life; each student has created profiles which will be on display. Leading up to this significant day, students engaged in a workshop led by SBC alumni Esther Medina, currently working as a Media Professional for CTV’s Etalk, as well as photographer and educator Justin De la Cruz.

Together, let's champion women's inclusion. Let's unite to #INSPIREINCLUSION collectively!
