St. Brigid Students Join in Celebrating Franco-Ontarian Heritage

On September 25, despite the heavy rains, the first cohort of Grade 7 French Immersion students at St. Brigid Catholic School attended the celebration of Franco-Ontarian Day at Queen’s Park. This year’s ceremony marked the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Franco-Ontarian flag. The students reflected on the richness and diversity of this minority community and on how their learning and experiences of the French language and culture contribute to keeping it alive and ensuring its vitality in Ontario.
