In November, students in Grades 5 to 8 from the gifted centres at St. Bruno/St. Raymond Catholic School, St. Monica Catholic School, and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School showcased their problem-solving talents by participating in the 2025 Beaver Computing Challenge.

Developed by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo, the Beaver Computing Challenge introduces students to foundational computer science concepts through engaging and thought-provoking challenges. The contest encourages logical thinking, creativity, and analytical reasoning, offering students a fun and accessible way to explore computational problem-solving.
