St. Charles Garnier Catholic School is proud to be recognized as a recipient of the 2025 Innovative Exemplary Practice Award for its outstanding Integrating Catholic Values into Student Well-Being Initiative. This honour reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing students’ mental, emotional, and spiritual growth through a faith-based approach to wellness.
The award-winning initiative led by Ms. Dos Santos integrates mindfulness activities, open discussions, and access to counseling services, reinforcing the belief that student well-being is foundational to academic and personal success. Through programs such as mindfulness sessions, positive affirmations, and social-emotional learning, the school fosters a welcoming environment where students build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
In addition to this achievement, the school also placed third in the 2024 Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) Short Video Competition with its entry “Angels of Hope.” The video, produced by Ms. Lodzinski, Mrs. Walaszcyk, and Mr. Robichaud alongside the talented Grade 7 Film Team, powerfully captured the spirit of the Jubilee Year’s theme: Pilgrims of Hope.
These recognitions mark a proud moment for the St. Charles Garnier community and highlight the school's ongoing dedication to faith, wellness, and creative expression.
