May 16 (Tuesday) was a special day at St. Jane Frances Catholic School, as staff and students participated in National Hereditary Angiodema (HAE) Awareness Day to support one of our very own students who has this condition.

Hereditary Angiodema (HAE) is a genetic condition that is rare and involves swelling in various parts of the body. To show support for our student, as well as all people who have HAE, the school community came together to raise awareness of this condition by having staff and students wear the colour white on that day. Toonie donations were made by staff and students to support this cause. A lump sum donation from the school was made to HAE Canada to support research.

Thank you to the St. Jane Frances school community for raising awareness and supporting this cause!
