How We Meet the Diverse Needs of Our Students

The strategies we use to meet the diverse needs of our students at St. John Bosco Catholic School include:

School History and Tradition

The school was built in 1965, when it was originally called St. Sebastian, with John Ferrigan as the first school principal. In 1972, a new school opened with the same name, and the original site was later renamed to St. John Bosco Catholic School, as the school was in the St. John Bosco Parish. Enrollment for that year was 717 students, and Steve Loftus was the principal.

Our school was named for St. John Bosco, a famous educator and caregiver to orphans, who is recognized as the patron of youth and Catholic education around the world. Our school tries to emulate this great saint in our Catholic teaching and in all school activities.
