Congratulations to St. Jude Catholic School on winning both the Girls and Boys West Regional Basketball Tournaments.

On Monday, March 9, 2026, the West Regional Boys Tournament took place at St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School. It was a fantastic day filled with high-quality basketball. Holy Angels Catholic School faced off against St. Jude in the final, and the game quickly became an instant classic. There was back-and-forth action throughout the entire game. St. Jude held a small lead for most of the contest, but Holy Angels battled back and tied the game with a last-second buzzer-beater, sending it to overtime. In the end, St. Jude pulled out the victory, winning 36–31 and earning the title of West Regional Champions.

On Tuesday, March 10, the West Regional Girls Tournament took place at Dante Alighieri Academy Catholic Secondary School. It was another wonderful day filled with excitement and high energy. St. Jude once again found themselves in the final, this time against St. Dorothy Catholic School. Both teams showed their skill and determination throughout the day. However, St. Jude kicked it into high gear in the final. The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning the game 30–5. With this victory, St. Jude completed the sweep and were crowned both the Boys and Girls West Regional Champions.

St. Jude will now represent the West Region, along with Holy Angels and St. Dorothy, at the City Championship following the March Break.
