On March 29, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School's junior team competed at the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Lego Robotics tournament, and on March 30 our intermediate team competed as well.

The first picture below shows the course that the students had to program their robot to navigate. Teams were expected to demonstrate their innovative programming skills through a timed series of challenges. Note that they did not see the course until the day of the competition. One task was to program the robot to travel forward follow the curve stop pick up an object and return.

This was a very difficult challenge. The margin of error was less than an inch! If they went too far, or not far enough, they would knock down a pilon and/or not be able to pick up their target.

We are very proud of our student teams and their efforts!
