Students from the Intensive Support Program (ISP) classes at St. Mother Teresa Catholic Academy enjoyed a fun-filled and educational trip on Friday to the Toronto Zoo, where they explored animal exhibits and learned about wildlife from around the world.

During the visit on June 19, students toured multiple pavilions featuring animals from different continents, taking part in an engaging and hands-on learning experience focused on global biodiversity and conservation.

The excursion also served as a special celebration for nine ISP students who are graduating this year. School staff marked the occasion during the trip, recognizing the students’ accomplishments and contributions throughout their time at the school.

In the fall, the graduating students will transition into community and transition-to-work programming. Staff said they are proud of their graduates and wished them continued success as they move onto the next stage of their lives.

The school community described the day as both memorable and meaningful, combining experiential learning with a send-off for students preparing for new life journeys.
