St. Mother Teresa Catholic Academy students and staff came together for their annual Terry Fox Day, raising approximately $750 for the Terry Fox Foundation.

The event was organized by the school’s Student Leaders in Catholic Education (SLICE) committee, whose members led an assembly highlighting Terry Fox’s courage, perseverance and legacy.

Following the assembly, students participated in a school wide walk before gathering for a barbecue. The event brought together students, staff and families in support of cancer research and Terry Fox’s vision of a world without cancer. School administration praised the school community, known as the Titans, for demonstrating leadership and a commitment to giving back. The annual event provided students with an opportunity to remember Fox’s legacy while supporting cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation.
