On April 18, 2026, Senator O'Connor College School hosted the TEAMS (Toronto Educators Association for Mathematics) Math Olympics, an event designed to challenge Grade 7 and 8 students.
Representing the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School Gifted Withdrawal Centre was Aidan D. and Nishi S. About the TEAMS Math Olympics, Nishi said, "When I was studying for this test I got to see all sorts of things like Pascal's Triangle, polynomials, and number theories. This really was a fun way to learn new math skills and put my brain to the test."
Aidan and Nishi both delivered standout performances across the individual and group categories, with Nishi taking home the silver medal and Aidan claiming the gold medal!
