The K-12 Cyber Awareness Month (CAM) campaign is an annual event occurring in October with the goal of promoting safer and more secure online and digital technology practices across publicly funded schools in Ontario.

As an adaptation of the internationally recognized October Cyber Security Awareness Month, the Educational Computing Network of Ontario (ECNO), Ontario school boards and the Ministry of Education have developed this K-12 cyber awareness campaign for both English- and French-language school boards in Ontario.

This year’s campaign theme is “Together we rise: Cyberheroes unite for online safety!“. It is designed to empower K-12 sector with a mission to foster a generation of cyberheroes who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others in cyberspace.

Weekly Focus and Topics

Each week in October, CAM will focus on a different theme related to cyber awareness. Visit the ECNO website to access the full toolkit.
