TCDSB Parent Census Of Students In Grades JK – 8
The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Parent Census of Students in Grades JK – 8 is coming on May 2, 2022.
|

We are excited to launch the
TCDSB Parent/Guardian Census Of Students JK – 8. This is an opportunity for parents/guardians of all students in Grades JK-8 to share more about who they are through the collection of identity-based information (e.g., language, Indigenous Identity, racial identity, and religion or spiritual affiliation). This is part of TCDSB's ongoing efforts to improve our schools and create welcoming and inclusive environments for our students to succeed.
In addition to the commitments outlined in both the Multi-Year Strategic Plan and Equity Action Plan, Ontario’s Anti-Racism Act of 2017 requires all public sector organizations, including school boards, to collect “identity-based” data about the people using their services to eliminate systemic racism and advance equity.
The Census should take less than 15 minutes to complete and is an opportunity for parents/guardians to tell us more about their child(ren). All responses will be confidential, and no individual student will be identified in the process. We are interested in the identities of all students as a group and will summarize the information to provide a more equitable and inclusive learning environment.
