Our Programs

Congregated Advanced Placement (CAP) Program

We are very proud of the Congregated Advanced Placement (CAP) Program which provides an enriched learning environment for highly motivated, self-directed, responsible life-long learners in the areas of Business, Canada and World Studies, English, French, Math, Psychology and Science.

The Grades 9 and 10 students in the pre-AP track are cohorted, and engaged in diverse-learning opportunities to enhance the development of 21st Century learning skills.

In Grade 11, students continue to accelerate their acquisition of the Ontario Curriculum to prepare for the Advanced Placement Exams in Grade 12. Ultimately, students have an opportunity to earn an advanced placement to universities and/or credit for university, prior to high school graduation.

Regional Arts Program

The Regional Arts Program at BMTM is in the heart of Toronto’s urban arts scene. Our facility boasts a 500-seat theatre, drama and dance studios, media arts lab, photography class with a dark room, recording studio, and a music room equipped with keyboards, woodwind, brass, and stringed instruments.

Students in the Regional Arts Program (RAP) are provided with the opportunity to further explore the arts through specialized programs in dance, dramatic arts, instrumental and vocal music, and visual arts including photography, media arts, and video production. Graduates from the Regional Arts Program receive an Arts Certificate at graduation and become skilled artists; prepared to pursue careers in the Arts and/or in College and University.

Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)

BMTM students in Grades 11 and 12 may enroll in one of the four Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in Arts & Culture, Business, Transportation, and/or Construction.

These programs provide experiential learning opportunities, entrepreneurship, certifications and training, and sector-related experience and employment prospects. Graduates are honored at graduation with a red seal on their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Co-curricular and Athletics Programs

Complementing our academic programs is a proud history of co-curricular and athletics programs that rivals any school. We are very proud of the numerous athletic teams that have gone to the TDCAAs and OFSAA. We also have several clubs and extracurricular activities for all students.

BMTM is blessed to have a dedicated group of Catholic educators, who create engaging and interactive lessons, incorporate technology, and differentiate learning through co-curricular activities, community outreach, and guest speakers.

These are very exciting times for students and their families who are in the process of choosing their secondary school. We look forward to your placement at BMTM.
