Students in Grades 11 and 12 at Dante Alighieri had an enriching opportunity to participate in Let’s Talk Science Physics Day on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The event, hosted by the University of Toronto (St. George campus) Department of Physics in collaboration with Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, brought together students for a full day of interactive and engaging scientific exploration.
This year’s theme, quantum physics, provided students with exciting hands-on lab experiences and problem-solving activities. Participants applied key physics concepts to solve real-world cases, making the learning both practical and dynamic. Throughout the day, students enthusiastically took part in quiz sessions, with several Dante Alighieri students earning prizes for their outstanding performance.
We are especially proud that our students were recognized by the organizers for their exceptional enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation during the lab activities. The event was a memorable and inspiring experience that further sparked their interest in the field of physics.
