On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Dante Alighieri’s Hip-Hop Team, Coalesce, competed in their first dance competition of the season at Strive Dance Challenge - a community-based dance competition.
We are thrilled to share that Coalesce delivered an outstanding performance, earning multiple awards and recognition from the judges. The team achieved 1st place in their category, Rookie Large Group Hip-Hop (Age 16), with an impressive “Platinum Wow” score of 95.4. In addition, Coalesce secured 1st Overall Rookie Large Group, achieving the highest score among all large group performances at the competition.
Their performance also earned special recognition from the judges, who presented the team with a session award highlighting their exceptional energy and seamless transitions. Coalesce also received the Judge’s Choice Award for Best Choreography - recognized for their outstanding choreography out of 149 routines.
These accolades are a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication, and commitment, demonstrated through countless hours of rehearsal and preparation.
