On Thursday, November 28, led by music teacher Mr. Laidlaw, Neil McNeil High School's Marching Band were invited to play for the Opening Day of the 50th Anniversary of the "One Of A Kind Show" held at the CNE. The Neil McNeil Marching Band brought Christmas cheer by performing "Feliz Navidad", "Rockin' Around The Christmas", and "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow was there to cut the ribbon and open the show.
