The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Music Department proudly celebrates another successful Music Festival, held from April 20 to May 1, 2026, across multiple venues in the east, central, and west regions of the city.
Bringing together elementary and secondary students in a collaborative, non-competitive environment, the festival showcased a vibrant range of musical talents, including concert bands, choirs, string ensembles, jazz bands, and ukulele groups. Over the course of the festival, thousands of students from schools across the TCDSB performed and shared their passion for music, supported by dedicated educators and enriched by feedback from professional adjudicators.
This annual event reflects the Board's commitment to inspiring a lifelong appreciation of music while nurturing creativity, confidence, and community through performance. Students not only demonstrated their musical skills but also embodied the Catholic Graduate Expectations through artistic expression and collaboration.
A special congratulations goes out to the many music teachers whose leadership, expertise, and commitment made this festival possible. Their work in preparing students and fostering inclusive, supportive music programs continues to have a lasting impact.
The TCDSB Music Department extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating students and educators for making this year's festival a joyful celebration of music, learning, and community.
