Construction Updates

In December 2020, Regina Mundi and Dante Alighieri school communities were provided with an update regarding our redevelopment. 

As shared in the communication, Regina Mundi students will remain on site at their current school for one year while construction to retrofit the Dante Alighieri building is complete. 

Following construction completion in 2022, Regina Mundi will move into the renovated school at 60 Playfair Avenue. This redevelopment plan will eliminate expressed health and safety concerns, as the Dante construction site will be separated with no public access until completion.

• December 2019: 

  • The first Local Design Committee (LDC) meeting was held on October 15, 2019. The Regina Mundi renovation design is progressing independently of plans for the new Dante Alighieri project. The architect is reviewing LDC feedback and will present design revisions at the January LDC meeting.
