The recent canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis has sparked a wave of curiosity and inspiration at St. Benedict Catholic School, particularly among the school's Grades 5 and 6 students. In light of the saint's deep devotion to the Eucharist and his passion for documenting Eucharistic miracles around the world, a collaborative effort by teachers Mrs. Galati, Mrs. Morano, and Ms. Scaccia led to the creation of a special exhibit celebrating these miracles.
The students worked in small groups, each researching a unique site where a Eucharistic Miracle had occurred. The project provided an immersive learning experience where students not only delved into the history and significance of these events, but also honed their creative and presentation skills.
The culminating exhibit featured a variety of displays, each including an informative visual board, a detailed slideshow presentation, and an artistic, three-dimensional piece representing the miracle at the heart of each project. The students' hard work and dedication were evident as the exhibit drew interest and admiration from both fellow students and faculty members.
Saint Carlo Acutis, known for his deep faith and his use of technology to spread devotion to the Eucharist, has become a patron for young people, especially those involved in the project. His example of using modern tools to share the beauty of the Catholic faith continues to resonate, inspiring the students at St. Benedict to further explore and appreciate the miracles that have shaped the rich spiritual history in Catholicism.
Saint Carlo Acutis, pray for us!
