St. Benedict library put on a play about a heartwarming tale of a bunny who seeks healing for his sick mother by searching for Jesus. Library helpers from Grades 6–8 showcased their acting talents by connecting with our school community and presenting to the JK–Grade 2 classes.
The First Easter Bunny Story by Anthony DeStefano takes us on a journey of courage and empathy. When the bunny experiences fear, he finds comfort in God’s words and promises. After witnessing the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection, the bunny and his mother experience a life-changing miracle, and the bunny goes on to spread the message of salvation.
As we wait joyfully for the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the play reminds us to seek God in faith and hope. The story shows us that God is always with us and His love is redemptive.
Our audience watched with wonder and excitement, and they loved the creativity of the play and all the costumes.
