Grade 5 Students at St. Benedict Catholic School participated in cultural learning through research and creativity, hosted in the school library by Ms. Scaccia, and in collaboration with Mrs. Galati and Mrs. Morano.
Students learned about countries and presented to fellow classmates. Research included history, famous people, languages spoken, favorite foods, recipes, fun facts, and more. Students displayed their work alongside creative suitcases that represented the country. The interactive presentations included landmark replicas, visual aids, dance, trivia, and songs unique to the country.
The project helped students recognize the values of the different ethnicities and races within society and especially within our school community. The learning experience gave students an opportunity to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion and respect.
