Beginning with a visit to St. Benedict Catholic Church, St. Benedict students spent some time there before the Blessed Sacrament. Ms. Mansoor and Ms. Scaccia led students in Eucharistic adoration, giving students the opportunity to encounter Jesus through reflection, prayer, gratitude, and worship.
Our students recited the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus being reminded of Christ's infinite love, mercy, and compassion for humanity. Students then learned about the history of the Sacred Heart and the special acts of devotion associated with it.
Students had the chance to paint various images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on fans or tote bags as keepsakes and reminders of Jesus' immense love for each of us.
As an extension of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, students made religious bracelets to honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Being reminded of how Mary leads us to Jesus and intercedes for us, we finished the year praying the Rosary together.
Wishing everyone a blessed summer. May God accompany you all throughout the break!
