School History and Tradition

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School welcomed its first students in 1959. As the community grew, additions were made in 1964 and 1981, bringing the school to its current size. In 1984, the school celebrated its 25th anniversary, coinciding with the year of the papal visit.

Our Patron Saint

The school is named after St. Francis Xavier, a Jesuit priest and missionary who worked alongside Ignatius of Loyola. He carried out missionary work in India and Japan, spreading the message of the Gospel. He was canonized by Pope Gregory XV in 1622, and his feast day is celebrated on December 3.

Parish Connection and Liturgical Life

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is part of the St. Fidelis Parish community. While some families also attend St. Bernard Parish, students traditionally receive the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation through St. Fidelis Church.

School liturgies are thoughtfully planned by a staff liturgical committee and are celebrated both at the church and within the school throughout the academic and liturgical year.
