St. John Bosco Catholic School is celebrating student success one Mathalon at a time, highlighting the growing confidence and enthusiasm of young mathematicians across the school. This year, the school launched its new Mathletes of the Month board, an initiative designed to recognize students who are strengthening their skills and embracing new challenges with determination and creativity.
The Mathalon program uses KnowledgeHook, an interactive learning tool that supports students in building problem-solving skills through engaging activities and real-time feedback. Students are encouraged to reinforce their learning, have fun, and approach math with curiosity as they work through challenges tailored to their level.
Staff at St. John Bosco say the initiative is already making a positive impact, fostering a supportive environment where students celebrate one another’s achievements and take pride in their progress. By spotlighting monthly honourees, the school aims to continue motivating students to approach math with confidence—one challenge, and one Mathalon, at a time.
