The Chaminade College School English Department provided students with an enriching experiential learning opportunity through a visit to High Park during the Cherry Blossom season. This outing supported their short story unit, offering students a unique environment to inspire observation, reflection, and creative expression.
The experience was particularly meaningful for our English Language Learners, who benefited from engaging with language and storytelling in a real-world context. Immersed in the natural beauty of the setting, students were able to deepen their descriptive writing and connect classroom learning to lived experience.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Covello and Ms. Kunyckyj for their dedication, mentorship, and commitment to creating innovative learning opportunities that continue to enrich student voice and creativity.
