From October 23 to 25, 2026, Chaminade College School proudly sent a delegation of 13 students from its Chaminade Model United Nations (CHAMUN) Club to participate in the Secondary School Interactive Crisis Simulation (SSICSIM).
SSICSIM is a dynamic Model United Nations conference that challenges students to think critically, collaborate, negotiate and respond to rapidly evolving global crises. Through engaging simulations, delegates take on leadership roles, debate complex issues and develop creative solutions while strengthening their diplomacy, public speaking and problem-solving skills.
Competing alongside talented delegates from schools across Ontario, the CHAMUN team achieved remarkable success, earning six individual awards:
2 Honourable Mentions
2 Best Novice Delegate Awards
2 Outstanding Delegate Awards
As the only school representing the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) at the conference, this achievement is especially meaningful and a tremendous source of pride for the school community. Chaminade was also awarded the Outstanding Large Delegation Award, recognizing the team's exceptional overall performance.
Congratulations to our 13 delegates for their dedication, leadership, teamwork and outstanding representation of Chaminade College School.
