Thank you to everyone for making this year's Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Carpentry Skills Competition a huge success.

With approximately 60 students competing in various categories including Individual carpentry, Team Carpentry, Home Building, and Cabinet Making, the place was electrified with the sound of saws buzzing, and hammers banging. Winners from this competition will advance to the provincial level Skills Ontario Competition.

This year marks the 15th year that the TCDSB Carpentry Competition has been running in cooperation with Local 27- The Carpenters Union. This year has also marked the best turnout yet, as student interest continues to grow. Thank you Local 27 staff for hosting us at your training facility, helping us set up, and providing a safe and engaging learning experience for our students to demonstrate their skills.

Thanks to the TCDSB Student Success Team for funding and supporting this initiative. Lastly, thank you all teachers for training students for this event.
