Father Henry Carr embraced the spirit of International Women's Day on Friday, March 8th, with a series of heartfelt and empowering celebrations. The Catholic community recognized its duty to support everyone in realizing their full potential, irrespective of gender. The focus of the day was on celebrating the journey towards equality of rights and opportunities for all, while also raising awareness against bias and acknowledging the remarkable achievements of women.

The day began with uplifting morning music dedicated to celebrating women, creating a positive atmosphere for the entire school community. To show solidarity and empowerment, "Empower Her" bracelets were distributed among students and staff, serving as a tangible symbol to support and empower the women in their lives.

A special International Women's Day board allowed students and staff to share the names of women who inspire them, fostering appreciation and admiration for the countless contributions of women throughout history and in contemporary society.

Father Henry Carr extends warm wishes to all the courageous, loving, and incredible women who inspire, nurture, and educate within the TCDSB, expressing gratitude for their invaluable impact. While the celebrations took place on March 8th, Father Henry Carr remains committed to fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and respect for all individuals, regardless of gender.
