Through the support and leadership of Superintended Ms. Cifelli, Area 6, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), students of Father Henry Carr had the opportunity to be part of a school wide presentation led by the Rick Hansen Foundation.
The Black Student Alliance and Safe School team worked with Ms. Cifelli to design and create T-Shirts for the event to promote accessibility, inclusion, and diversity for all with the FHC community.
Through the presentation, students were able to receive a firsthand account on how to overcome barriers to reach their full potential and success.
For over three decades, the Rick Hansen Foundation team has been raising awareness, changing attitudes, and breaking down barriers for people with disabilities with our programs and initiatives. With each of these programs and initiatives, we’re working to create an accessible and inclusive world where people with disabilities can live to their full potential.
