As we enter into Holy Week as a family of faith, 19 students from Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School attended the Chrism Mass at St. Michael's Cathedral with Cardinal Francis Leo, Cardinal Thomas Collins, and hundreds of priests and religious from across the Archdiocese of Toronto. During the Chrism Mass, which took place on April 15 at 11:00 AM, the sacred oils that are used in the sacraments of the Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders are blessed and picked up by pastors or associate pastors to be used in their parishes throughout the year.

Cardinal Francis Leo reflected on the life of St. John Vianney and called us to live out our lives in such a way that we become living catechisms, shining forth God's truth and love in all that we do. Carr students participated in the Mass from the Cathedral's balcony and enjoyed the Sacred Music provided by the students of St. Michael's Choir school. After the Mass, they had lunch in a local food court before returning to school.
