For over two decades, Grade 10 students at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School have proudly participated in the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI). Through their dedication and compassion, our students have helped grant over $100,000 to local charities in the Rexdale community.

This year, we are thrilled to recognize Hossana, Neely, and Anu for their outstanding presentation on the impactful work of the Red Door Family Shelter. Thanks to their efforts, the shelter will receive a $5,000 grant to continue supporting families in need.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the FHC Social Science teachers who have guided and supported our students throughout the year. Your commitment ensures that our students not only learn about social issues but also become active, compassionate citizens.

Thank you, as well, to Mr. Vince A. Pileggi, our Canadian and World Studies Department Head for spearheading this initiative and organizing our annual YPI Finals.

Together, we continue to make a difference—one project at a time.
