Father Henry Carr (FHC) Prep made a triumphant return to the prep basketball scene last year with both a Senior Boys’ team and a Junior Boys’ team, marking an incredibly successful comeback to elite Canadian prep basketball.
This year, Father Henry Carr has expanded its program by adding a Freshman Prep team made up entirely of Grade 9 players.
The Freshman and Junior Prep teams compete in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) Developmental League, while the Senior Prep team plays in both the OSBA Trillium Division and the North Pole Hoops Division One Scholastic Division.
The Senior Prep team has started the season strong with several impressive victories:
FHC 86, Wiggins Elite 51
FHC 68, Cegep Larendeau 51
FHC 110, Uchenna Academy 85
FHC 127, BCP Regional 68
FHC 88, St. Jude’s Academy White 61
FHC 88, St. Michael’s College School 44
Scoring has been well-balanced, led by four standout players: Adrian A.(#13), Dre'Kel C. (#3), Kaden J. (#2), and Trust O. (#32).
The younger teams are also off to an undefeated start, with the Junior Prep sitting at 2-0 and the Freshman Prep at 1-0.
Up next, Father Henry Carr will host the 2025 Early Bird Prep Showcase from October 16–18, where all three teams will compete, followed by the Junior Crusader Prep Classic from October 30–November 1.
