As part of Rise In STEM's wellness series, we delivered a hands-on Culinary Arts session at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School that engaged Grade 12 students in connecting healthy eating to culture, creativity and everyday life skills.

Led by renowned chef Roger Mooking, this session allowed students to learn about his journey, kitchen safety, foundational culinary techniques and how to prepare a balanced meal from scratch: saltfish buljol and roast bake.

The session encouraged students to reflect on their learnings, share the new skills they developed and identify areas where they would like additional support as they prepare for post-secondary pathways.
