Throughout the month of October, Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School proudly celebrated Latin-Hispanic Canadian Heritage Month through a series of engaging cultural activities. The celebrations highlighted the traditions, history, and contributions of Latin and Hispanic communities to Canadian society and to our shared global culture.

Students and staff participated in a variety of events designed to foster learning, appreciation, and community spirit. The month featured empanada distribution, which offered a taste of traditional cuisine, as well as Latin-themed trivia activities that encouraged students to explore the geography, culture, and historical achievements of Latin America. A particularly popular highlight was Piñata Day, which brought together students in a fun celebration of a cherished cultural tradition.

To further enhance the atmosphere of celebration, Latin music was played in the mornings, infusing the school with the vibrant sounds that reflect the spirit of Latin heritage.

Through these initiatives, Father Henry Carr reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cultural awareness, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. The celebration of Latin-Hispanic Canadian Heritage Month served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of recognizing and honouring the many cultural identities that enrich our school community.
