Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School's Senior Prep Basketball team has continued to dominate the PREP Basketball leagues in Ontario. Currently, the FHC Senior Basketball team is in first place in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) Trillium league, Central Division, and entire team standings, with an undefeated record of 8-0. Team Star Point Guard Kaden J. is leading the OSBA Trillium league in steals per game, followed by teammate Presley I. who ranks second in steals per game. Kaden J. is also ranked 7th in the league points per game.
Kaden has been dubbed one of the "most complete scoring guards in his class" (OSBA Trillium). "Kaden combines elite shot-making with strong playmaking instincts, consistently creating opportunities for teammates. A relentless on-ball defender who applies 94-foot pressure and impacts winning on both ends" (OSBA Trillium).
The team is also in first place in the North Pole Hoops Division 1 scholastic league with an undefeated record. The team also recently attended the St. Andrew's Holiday Classic (Rhode Island, USA) where they competed against US Prep Teams, St. Andrew's (host school) and Mount Saint Charles Rhode Island Academy—both teams from the New England Prep School Athletic Conference.
The Father Henry Carr Prep Program has experienced significant success at a rapid speed as it enters its second year from a short break, and was brought back by School Principal Mr. F. Malfitano and Coach Mr. P. Melnik. The team is preparing to host the annual Dillon Brooks cup, with NBA star and FHC Alumnus Dillon Brooks and members of the Phoenix Suns in March.
