Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School hosted its Annual Elementary Crusader Classic Basketball Tournament on February 9 and 10, 2026. The girls’ tournament was fully booked within one day, as teams and coaches were eager to provide competitive opportunities for their athletes in preparation for this year’s playoffs.
Twelve elementary teams from Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) schools across the Greater Toronto Area participated over the two days, with six teams competing each day for championship banners and medals. The tournament was a great success, giving young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills in a positive and spirited environment.
All student-athletes experienced a well-organized high school athletic event, facilitated by Father Henry Carr leadership students and Physical Education Program (PEP) Basketball players, helping to create a welcoming and memorable experience.
Congratulations to St. Dorothy, champions of the girls’ tournament, and St. Gregory, champions of the 2026 boys’ tournament. A special thank you to the Father Henry Carr staff, and Ms. Jegede, for organizing this successful event.
