The Grade 10 band from Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School came to school for an all-day retreat on November 25, a Saturday. Throughout the day, the students worked together in different styles of rehearsal to polish and perfect their pieces, as well as bond as a team.
We had 80 grade 10 musicians attending the workshop. The musicians worked collaboratively and shared musical ideas throughout the day. Mr. Mertinz, Ms. Sookram and our guest clinician Brendan Coutinho are very proud of the efforts the band put in.
At the end of the day, the students put on a showcase of their learning for their parents. The students worked hard and had a fun filled Saturday!
