On Monday, May 12, Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School proudly hosted a delegation of high school teachers from Liceo A.F. Formiggini in Sassuolo, Italy, as part of an international exchange focused on educational best practices.

Coordinated by Paolo Granta, Associate Professor at the University of Toronto’s St. Michael’s College, the visit aimed to provide the Italian educators with firsthand insight into the Canadian education system. The delegation was particularly interested in learning how key lessons and concepts are delivered to students in science, math, French, and English.

During their time at the school, Marshall McLuhan staff shared an overview of its academic and co-curricular programs, while also guiding visitors through various school facilities, including the science lab, gymnasium, classrooms, library, and common spaces.

The visiting educators expressed how impressed they were by the school community and facilities, noting that most of their previous perceptions of North American schools came from film and television. The visit offered a meaningful and authentic experience of Canadian Catholic education in action.

This international collaboration highlights the value of global partnerships in education and the importance of sharing knowledge across cultures to strengthen teaching and learning worldwide.
