The PreMedSKL Future MD Award recognizes 50 outstanding Canadian Grade 11 students who combine academic excellence, leadership, and a genuine curiosity about medicine and the health sciences. Sonya’s selection reflects strong academic promise, leadership, integrity, sound judgment, and a demonstrated commitment to service, qualities that align closely with the values of the medical profession. As a Future MD Award Recipient, Sonya will participate in the PreMedSKL 2026 Program, which offers structured mentorship and academic enrichment opportunities focused on long-term development, ethical reasoning, reflection, and professionalism.
