EcoSchools Canada has awarded Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School's EcoVision Team Second Place Award in the 2025–2026 Secondary EcoTeam Awards, Platinum Certification and a Mini Worm Studio for exemplary environmental leadership.
EcoSchools Canada noted that the McLuhan EcoVision Team’s "dedication to student leadership and environmental action stood out among hundreds of submissions," highlighting the quality and impact of their work throughout the school year.
This recognition reflects the sustained commitment of the EcoVision Team in advancing and implementing environmental initiatives connected to co-curricular environmental studies, climate change action, Indigenous approaches to environmental stewardship and medicine, collaboration with environmental communities and institutions, as well as environmental sustainability and social justice within the McLuhan community.
The McLuhan EcoVision Team extends sincere appreciation to the administration, caretaking staff, secretarial team, and teachers for their ongoing support in implementing EcoVision initiatives. Gratitude is also expressed to all members of the school community who contributed to promoting and practicing environmental stewardship.
