St. Joseph's College School's Arts students embarked on a four-day tour of Quebec City's rich artistic, musical, and dramatic culture. The trip began with a haunted ghost walk of Old Quebec City that recalled some of the scary tales surrounding the city's remarkable history.

The second full day in Quebec City began exploring the route to Nouvelle France and the people who inhabited the coast throughout history. The historic coastline allowed students to learn about many important figures that once called this area home. Next, the students visited the Sainte-Anne-de Beaupre Basilica where they experienced a beautiful mass as they discovered the Romanesque cathedral that began as a shrine to honour Saint Anne. This was followed by a tour, workshop, and interactive activity at the Albert Gilles Copper Museum. The afternoon continued at a Traditional Huron Site where they journeyed into the heart of Wendat traditions, as students discovered their ancient way of life. This was followed by a medicine wheel making workshop.

The third day allowed students to engage in specific activities focusing on their arts specialty. The fine art students had a wonderful tour of Musée des Beaux-Arts de Québec discovering contemporary interactive masterpieces. The drama students paid a visit to an Improv Game Show at the Improdôme. The music students ventured to Collège François-de-Laval where they participated in the Rhythms International Music Festival. After an outstanding performance by the SJCS Wind Ensemble, they earned top awards at the festival. The day concluded with a traditional dinner at an authentic Quebec sugar shack at Le Chemin Du Roy.

The trip concluded with a guided historic tour of Old Quebec City and role-playing on the Plains of Abraham. This remarkable trip left a lasting impression on everyone. The trip was led by special members of the SJCS Staff: Principal Jennifer Correia, Michelle Doyle, and Dr. Daniel Hasznos.
