St. Oscar Romero had the exciting opportunity to participate in a live Birds of Prey presentation hosted by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, bringing geography learning to life. During this interactive session, Grade 9 students met several raptor species and made meaningful connections between their classroom learning and real-world examples.

Students observed firsthand how different ecosystems support various species and how climate, landforms, and vegetation influence where these birds can survive. A key focus of the presentation was human-environment interactions, encouraging students to reflect on sustainability, conservation, and their own human footprint.

This engaging and educational experience helped students deepen their understanding of natural systems while fostering an appreciation for the wildlife around us.
